📹 Watchlist: Run Like a Mother
Makenna Myler is a mother of two and an extremely fast runner (who qualified for the Olympic Trials in the 10k 6 months postpartum). Her current goal? Make the team before the Olympic Games. As part of this, we see her fighting at the LA Marathon to make the podium. But Makenna’s got a surprise in store for everyone.
Well-produced, short, good story, worth it! 🍿

Imo (Imogen) Boddy is a British ultra runner best known for very long solo challenges rather than traditional races.
Among her achievements is running 7 marathons in 7 days, each in under 4 hours, in 2021. Then in 2022 she ran the length of Britain, which is 870 miles, in 22 days, averaging around 40 miles a day. In 2024, she broke the National Tree Peaks record as the fastest woman (see the video down below!). This was about 420 miles with roughly 10,500 meters of climbing. This year she broke the Speed Project solo record (an unofficial Los Angeles to Las Vegas Ultra) in 77 hours and 54 minutes.
Imo is also a guide runner and coach, and has been featured on many podcasts.
I find her content a great mix of training thoughts, education, entertainment, and behind-the-scenes of a professional runner's life. She comes off as honest and inspirational, making her (in my sweet opinion) a great addition to your feed.

🗓 Events & Races: Paris Lottery
Race season is here… and so is “sign up for races” season. Last week I shared that multiple registrations had just opened. Today, I’m back with another big one.
Not a World Major, but certainly a huge race: the Paris Marathon. Set in a city that for many is the “City of Love”, and for plenty of others a place they “still want to visit one day”.
A marathon is a perfect excuse, right?
The Paris Marathon takes place on April 04, 2027. It’s not a cheap one (€169), but thankfully you don’t have to pay to enter the lottery (open until September 30).
Group sign-ups are available too (2-6 people). If one of you gets in, the whole group gets to go.

🎽 Gear & Gadgets: Coros Pace Pro 4
Running watches are a hot topic for debates: Garmin lovers, Suunto ambassadors, Coros fans… If you were to ask me, there are plenty of good options out there.
However, as someone who has a Coros Pace 3 and who tested the Pace Pro 3, I’m pretty sure this new watch, the Pace Pro 4, is great.
The Pace Pro 4 is a slim, lightweight watch with a titanium bezel, sapphire glass, and the biggest screen Coros has ever made (which can be a good or a bad thing, depending on your personal preferences).
But for many runners, battery life is what matters most. This is where Coros is incredible. The Pace Pro 4 has up to 60 hours of GPS (45 hours in dual-frequency mode). And it has full offline maps.
It doesn’t have any streaming apps, NFC payments, or stuff like that. It’s not a smartwatch; it’s a running watch. Personally, I like this. It also means the watch is priced lower (€449 / £389 / $449) than, for example, Garmin's Forerunner 970 (€749/£629 / $749).
P.S. Price too high? Check out the Pace 4 or even Pace 3. Great watches, about half the price.

✨ Wild Card: For Those Struggling with Maranoia
If you have a marathon on the calendar this fall and you’re going mental… this one’s for you.
