Hey hey! This week’s edition of RunLetters is packed with inspiration, information, and fun. I hope it fires you up to go out for a run this weekend 🔥 I’ll be running 40k on Sunday before our Easter brunch! What about you?
Before you scroll down…
What is your half marathon goal?
I’m working on a potential group coaching program for later this year. Your answers help me A LOT, so if you are signed up for a half marathon or thinking about signing up, please do vote and feel free to elaborate. I’m all ears.
Okay. Now let’s get started ⤵️

📹 Watchlist: Surviving 240 Miles in Utah
You don't have to like the idea of ultra marathons to enjoy this video. Running 240 miles isn't on my wishlist either. But it will leave you feeling inspired to chase something meaningful, whatever that looks like for you. It's a reminder that we can do hard things. The storytelling is top-notch, and it's fun and unlike anything else I've come across lately.
Just go watch it. I promise you’ll have a good laugh!
The video is by David Park. In June 2024, he was your average guy who had fallen out of shape. So he started documenting every single day of training like David Goggins, posting it online until Goggins noticed. He did this for 100 days. It got him in shape.
One thing led to another, and before he knew it, he was running 240 miles through the Utah desert. Little did he know he’d do this side by side with his idol 👀

Yana Strese is a professional ultra runner from Germany, living and training in Norway. Her feed is packed with useful running drills, strength work, and mobility exercises.
In late March, she ran the ASI Ultra in Greenland, an arctic 100 mi/160km ultra marathon, and took first place. (The field wasn't huge, but take one look at those conditions and you'll understand why.. 😂 Not many people would be able to finish this race)
Yana seems a genuinely nice, lovely person. Combine that with how helpful her content is, and I think she’s worth a follow!

🗓 Events & Races: Ballot Half Marathon Berlin Is Open!
There are so many incredible half marathons out there, and the Berlin Half Marathon doesn't really need the press. But I also know a lot of you are half marathoners. And maybe some of you, like me, are trying to run all of the SuperHalfs.
And so it’s my duty to make sure you don’t miss out.
So consider this your reminder: the ballot for the Berlin Half Marathon is now open.
You can go to this link to learn more and register. You'll need to create an account with SCC Events first, then you're good to go.

🎽 Gear & Gadgets: Gel With a Resealable Cap
With race season in full swing, you might be thinking about which gels to invest in for your long runs. This one's worth knowing about.
Precision Fuel has a 90g carb gel with a little screw-top cap. Run, take some, close it, pocket it for later. You don't have to finish it in one go. Hallelujaaaah! Say bye to sticky gel wrappers in your shorts.
For a 30g gel, a resealable lid might feel excessive. But for 90g? It makes total sense. Perfect for those longer training days where you need sustained energy over time.
Also, Precision Fuel is generally known to be easy on the stomach and a good option for if you're prone to gut issues mid-run.

✨ Wild Card: Getting Roasted (by a toddler)
This one’s too good not to share 😂

🏁 The Finish Line (…🤫)
If you made it this far… You deserve something special. Some secret information. And I’ve got some.
