βelloooo runner π Christmas has come early! In this edition, Iβm giving away a race entry to Boulderthon (scrollll to find out more), sharing a great documentary, a funny not-so-average runner to follow, and more.
Letβs get started βοΈ β€΅οΈ
Table of Contents

πΉ Watchlist: The Lone Wolf
Every year, the βTriple Crownβ of endurance racing takes place over five months. Tahoe 200 (June), Big Foot 200 (August), and MOAB 240 (October). If you compete and finish all three in one year, you are eligible to set a time record.
Jessica Pekari set the last standing record in 2018: 230 hours and 24 minutes.
In βThe Lone Wolf: Manuβs Quest For The Triple Crownβ, we follow Manuela as she runs MOAB 240, the last one in the series of three, trying to break the Triple Crown record. Without pacers, and with just one crew member. All while dealing with heavy weather, chafing, and severe exhaustion. Can she do it?
I wonβt spoil it. Just watch!

Sometimes it seems like every runner out there is young, lean, and a part-time model.
And thatβs exactly why the internet needs more Karens π
Iβm talking about this Karen, @running.like.a.wrinkly on Instagram. Sheβs 64, a runner, and hilarious. Her content is lighthearted, funny, and relatable to many people (not just 60-year-olds, I promise).
If youβre on Instagram, I highly recommend giving her a follow. Sheβs also on TikTok and YouTube, although she hasnβt posted much on the latter this year. Letβs see if we can motivate her to start again!

π Events & Races: Boulderthon Registrations Are Open!
Want to win a race entry to Boulderthon? Scroll down to the Wild Card section!
One of the most well-known and fun-looking races in the US is Boulderthon. Itβs also the fastest-growing marathon in the country. Oh, and itβs run at altitude (5,430 ft / 1,655 m). Last September, it felt like everyone was running the 10k. Instagram was full of it.
And with good reason. The atmosphere looked electric. Buzzing. A party and a half!
It was right then that I told myself I had to feature Boulderthon when registration for 2026 opened. That moment has come. Registration is now open for all distances (5k, 10k, half marathon, full marathon). Prices increase after December, so donβt wait too long. A pretty great Christmas gift for yourself or a running friend!

π½ Gear & Gadgets: Coros Pace 4
One of the latest running watches to be released (November β25) is the Coros Pace 4. A solid, lightweight, fast watch with a few nifty new features. And yes, pretty budget-friendly, from a watch perspective.
Itβs priced the same as the Coros Pace 3 was at launch: $249. That puts it among the cheaper options on the market. And honestly, I think it punches well above its weight.
Besides slightly improved battery life compared to the Pace 3, you get a bright AMOLED screen and an extra button. For many people (including myself), those are not enough reasons to make the switch, since its predecessor already does an incredible job. That said, the extra button can definitely come in handy during workouts. Itβs the one thing I wish I had, as it makes navigating between screens much easier while in workout mode.

That being said, Coros hasnβt suddenly removed the Pace 3 from its webshop. There are two great upsides to that. First, it means theyβre not just dumping existing stock, which would be extremely wasteful. Second, it means you can grab the Pace 3 for $200 right now. At that price point, itβs one of the best running watches available. Possibly the best budget option out there at the moment.
So if youβve been looking to buy a running watch, this is well worth checking out. If you have an extra $50 to spare, Iβd personally go for the Pace 4. But youβll get most of the same features with the cheaper Pace 3. Pick the one that makes the most sense for you.
P.S. Hereβs a great review video by Kofuzi about the Coros Pace 4.
