‘ellooo runner! Happy Friday! This week’s RunLetters is another jam-packed one. An amazing video to watch, a great runner to follow, the perfect gift for any runner. Oh, and today is day 5 of the RunLetters Advent Calendar.
It is also the day after my birthday. Yes, I turned 30 yesterday 🥳
So many things. Let’s get started ⤵️
Table of Contents

📹 Watchlist: 6 Marathons, 6 Continents, 6 Days. Self-Aided 😅
Imagine running 6 marathons in 6 days. Now imagine doing it in 6 continents (meaning you have to fly between all of them within those 6 days). Now, imagine 5 of those 6 marathons are not official marathons, and you have to get all your fuel on the way. Oh, and you are traveling as lightly as possible, so you’re wearing the same shirt throughout (and your carry-on is your hydration vest).
That’s Isaiah's challenge in this video. Good thing the guy likes a challenge (I mean, that’s literally what his whole channel is about).
Enough said. Watch this week’s watchlist feature. This one truly deserves some popcorn 🍿. Sit back, relax, laugh, and enjoy!
P.S. Let me know if you were as surprised as I was at the time he ran marathon 6 in!

Andrew Glaze is an ultrarunner who, 99% of the time, seems to walk around with a huge smile on his face. No wonder his personal tagline is “Smile, or you’re doing it wrong”.
Andrew (or Andy, if you prefer) is on an insane run streak of running 100+ mile weeks (for 300 weeks now!). He’s also quite the racer. This year alone, he was seen at MOAB 240, Javelina Jundred, UTMB (Mont-Blanc), the Leadville 100, Cocodona 250, and numerous other events.
Just the kind of guy you have to follow, especially if you like to have your social media be an inspiring place instead of a drama hub 🫡

🗓 Events & Races: Edinburgh Marathon Festival 🇬🇧
Historic streets, sea views, and a city that knows how to put on a good event. That’s what the Edinburgh Marathon Festival is all about. Taking place on May 24, 2026, the city’s Marathon Festival includes a Marathon, Half Marathon, Team Relay, 10K, and 5K. The course is known for being fast and flat, with a lively finish atmosphere. And believe me when I say British people know how to cheer you on and support you along the course!
You’ll be running through a city full of character, with plenty of cafés, pubs, and parks to explore once you’re done. Edinburgh is a magical city, and you won’t regret making a city trip out of it, whether you want to sightsee, eat your way through the city, or relax after your race. You can visit the Edinburgh castle or the (super cute) Dean Village.
Getting there is simple. There are direct flights to Edinburgh from many cities around the world, and once you arrive, getting around is easy by foot, tram, or bus.

🎽 Gear & Gadgets: The Best Gift For (Almost) Any Runner
With the Holidays fast approaching, you may be getting the “What would you like to get for Christmas?” question. Not always an easy one to answer, because for most, “a new pair of running shoes” is a bit above budget.
Sensible 🤷
But then what? You may already have a good heart rate monitor and a pair of headphones (if not, those could be nice options). We can never have too much fuel, so that’s another idea (gels, chews, protein bars, etc.). Or maybe even your fav electrolytes.
BUT… maybe none of those feel like the right match. In that case, what about a gift card for worldmarathons.com? You can get tickets to thousands of different races worldwide through their platform. The perfect gift for any runner who likes to race!

✨ Wild Card: POV You’re My Garmin
or Coros, or Apple Watch, or Suunto, whatever you want
Came across this last week and thought it was hilarious, so, of course, had to share it! You can never have too much content that makes you smile 😊

🏁 The Finish Line
Happy December, runner!! I didn’t quite touch on it in this newsletter, BUT if you haven’t started with the RunLetters Advent Calendar yet.. THEN WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!
Hint: There are prizes to be won by participating 🎁. Just make sure to share your proof/progress in the RunLetters Run Club!
Have an amazing weekend,
Caroline
