This may be one of the best editions of RunLetters yet. Really. Weโ€™ve got amazing deals, 10% off Cornwall Winter Running Retreats, an advent calendar, an incredible video to watch, and an amazing runner to follow. Dangggg ๐Ÿฅต

Letโ€™s get started โคต๏ธ

๐Ÿ“น Watchlist: 240 Miles in Brutal Utah

240 miles (386km) through a rough landscape, with 31,564 feet (9,621 m) of ascent. Thatโ€™sโ€ฆ spicy ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ

This is the MOAB 240. Itโ€™s one of the most famous ultramarathons out there, and not an easy one to finish. This year, the weather wasnโ€™t in its favour either. The heavy rainfall and mudslides made the course extremely hard.

This videoโ€™s a bit different from your normal โ€œrunfluencerโ€ videos, as Kara and Nate are travel vloggers (and have developed their own style over the years). The production is of extremely high quality and does a good job at Nateโ€™s highs and lows while running the course.

Give it a watch. Itโ€™s popcorn worthy ๐Ÿฟ

๐Ÿ“ฒ Social Spotlight: Ali Goes Running

Ali Ballโ€™s got the job we all dream of: she tests running kit for a living. She does this for Runnerโ€™s World UK. Her articles cover a wide range of running-related topics, from headphones to shoes, treadmills to jackets, and more.

But itโ€™s Ali herself whoโ€™s really worth following. Not only is she an avid marathoner, but sheโ€™s also a pure ray of sunshine on your Instagram feed (if you are on Instagram). From her carousels to her review reels, theyโ€™re all pretty great. So go give her a follow!

๐Ÿ—“ Events & Races: Cornwall Running Escapes with Run Weekends

If youโ€™re hunting for a great gift for yourself this holiday season, these Cornwall retreats from Run Weekends might be a good option. After all, thereโ€™s not much better than combining travel with running.

Run Weekends are all about social running, stunning scenery, good food, and no racing. Exploring at its finest. And both January trips in Cornwall are welcoming to any pace.

Hereโ€™s the quick breakdown ๐Ÿ‘‡

Three Mile Beach

Beach-house comfort and steady daily miles.

The stay: You'll stay in two stunning private beach houses with an outdoor hot tub, sauna, and a fireplace.

The running: You'll cover the coastal trails between St. Ives and St. Agnes. Expect clifftops, coves, and rugged beaches. Mileage is spread out nicely over the weekend: 10 km + 17 km + 28 km + 5 km. About 90 percent trail. No single huge day.

The food: Private dining is handled by an on-site chef in a yurt.

Bonus: Optional surf lesson to finish things off.

Best for: Those who would enjoy an intimate, slow-paced, villa-style retreat.

Fistral Beach

Shorter stay with one big centrepiece run.

The stay: You spend two nights in a beautiful spa hotel overlooking Fistral Beach, with a steam room, hot tub, and one of the world's best-rated hotel pools.

The running: Highlight is 42 km of the Southwest Coast Path from Padstow to Newquay. Expect gorgeous coastline views. Plus a 5 km shakeout before the big run and a 10 km sunrise jog on the last day.

The food: Expect Cornish pastries, local bites, pizza, and an amazing barbecue to celebrate the 42 km.

Best for: Anyone who prefers a hotel setup and who loves the idea of a coastal adventure with like-minded runners.

Both trips are gorgeous winter escapes and mix social running with relaxed exploring. And both are the kind of gift you look back on and think โ€œYes, that was worth it!โ€.

Run Weekends Social

On Dec 6, Run Weekends is hosting a fun, social event in London. Expect good energy, drinks, games, plenty of chat with like-minded people, and some friendly competition with the opportunity to win prizes, including one of their 2026 retreats. Oh, and youโ€™ll even get a free welcome drink!

Interested? Itโ€™s sold out, but RunLetters subscribers can still grab a spot. Hereโ€™s how: join the waiting list, then reply to this email saying youโ€™ve signed up. After that, the Run Weekends team will release a ticket for you.

โœจ Wild Card: Advent Calendar for Runners ๐ŸŽ„

Stay motivated, challenged, and inspired this December with the RunLetterโ€™s Advent Calendar! Starting on December 1st, a new, small, running-related challenge will be revealed every day ๐ŸŽ…

You can participate simply on your own, or you can join the RunLetters Run Club and participate with all other club members. Participating is not only fun, but can also yield some nice prizes! ๐ŸŽ

๐Ÿ The Finish Line

Before we sign off for this week, I wanted to touch on the Wild Card (Advent Calendar) above. Creating this brought me so much joy. Please feel free to share it with any friends or family. The Holidays are a beautiful time to reconnect, but also to run!

Itโ€™s totally OK to run less during the Holidays. December can get busy very quickly. Donโ€™t run if it doesnโ€™t fit your schedule or if itโ€™s causing you stress. Do run if it feels right, or if itโ€™s exactly what you need to calm your mind.

Iโ€™m excited for December, for Holiday treats and much more. For planning 2026 and setting new goals.

But for now, Iโ€™m wishing you a wonderful weekend from Costa Rica ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ท where Iโ€™m on my honeymoon. Catch you in the next one! (or inside the RunLetters Run Club!)
