📹 Watchlist: Running 50K With 10 Taco Bell Stops 🌮
Sam Reid, a big YouTuber mostly known for food and travel videos, is not new to challenges that involve physical activity and eating. But this challenge was “extra special” for him as a Taco Bell aficionado.
But 50K is not nothing. It still requires some training. Add in eating at at least 9 of the 10 Taco Bell stops, and… well, it becomes a real challenge, to say the least. Oh, and if you puke, you’re disqualified.
I’ve written about this race in the past (in one of the first editions of RunLetters). The very first time this race was held, 8 runners gave it a try, and 5 finished. This year, 1500 runners registered… 🤯
‘nuf said, go watch it!

The first post I ever saw from Sadie was this one, and as someone who has thoroughly enjoyed most of Game of Thrones, it caught my attention.
It turned out that Sadie, the @jetsetting_runner, is a travel agent focused on runners. A golden combination! Her content highlights the best races out there (mainly in Europe). If you’re interested in discovering some of those off-the-beaten-path races, then I recommend you go give her a follow.

🗓 Events & Races: A Half in the Rocky Mountains 🇺🇸
If you’ve ever wanted to visit the Rocky Mountains (and maybe road trip the northwest of the US, like I want to do), this one’s a great excuse. The Rocky Mountain Half Marathon takes place in Estes Park, Colorado. It’s a race at high altitude with a few climbs, but nothing too crazy. Total elevation gain is approximately 780 ft (240 m).
You can run the Half Marathon, the Friday-night 5K, or do both as part of the Elk Double. It’s fully paved, so if you’re after a trail race, this one’s not it.
Estes Park, a 2-hour drive from Denver International Airport, is a small mountain town with numerous outdoor adventures nearby, like hiking, rafting, and climbing. Perfect for an active summer holiday, but it gets busy, so book early.
If you’re thinking about signing up for it (or any of the other Vacation Races half marathons or ultras), join the RunLetters Run Club because we’ve got a discount code for you.

🎽 Gear & Gadgets: Stay Warm On Cold Runs 🥶
Winter’s fast approaching (for many of us). Temperatures are dropping. Runs are getting chillier. So what do you need… 👀
You’ve guessed it: something to keep your ears warm!
Thankfully, Runr has come to the rescue. Their new winter collection features a range of cool (reflective) beanies, bobble hats, and headbands. And this week they’ve even got a Black Friday sale going on. So don’t wait too long, grab that discount!

✨ Wild Card: Instagram vs Reality
Thought this was pretty funny. So sharing it as this week’s Wild Card 😁

🏁 The Finish Line (free £100 gift!)
Before we round up this week’s edition… we all know it’s almost Black Friday (officially the Friday after Thanksgiving, so November 28th, but nowadays it’s nearly all of November, haha).
I’m currently putting together some of my favourite Black Friday Deals. You’ll get them in next week’s email, but there’s one particular deal that’s too good not to share already (especially since they may sell out). And that’s the deal from SunGod.
They are giving away a free £100 gift with every pair. Yes, even if the ones you’re buying are cheaper. Insane deal, basically a two-for-one, but where the free pair might be more expensive than your first pair. Don’t miss out! Click to shop.

Here’s to a great weekend ahead ☀️
