πΉ Watchlist: A Tough Ultra Race in Hong Kong
Jeff Pelletier is arguably one of the best running filmmakers on YouTube, and if you arenβt subscribed to his channel yet, you are missing out.
What makes the race video below so great to watch, besides the very realistic behind-the-scenes of an ultra like this, are the gorgeous views. The scenery is incredible.
Whether you are an experienced ultra runner, training for your first one, or thinking βnever ever will I run an ultraβ, I think youβll enjoy this video. Definitely make sure to watch βtil the end to see AudrΓ©e battling through the final bits. Itβs extremely inspiring, to say the least.
So you know the drill: grab a snack, a drink, sit back, and enjoy!

Did you hear about that woman who ran a half marathon in all of the 50 States? π€―
You may have. Her name is Amy Haas, and not only did she do that, she also became incredibly fast, with her PR being 1:19! Her entire journey was documented, much of it shared on Instagram, but if thatβs not your thing, you can read all about it here.
But Amyβs a lot more than that. Sheβs also a running coach and started a company called AIM Virtual, which offers challenges, training plans and 1:1 coaching (including strength coaching). Pretty dang cool. Oh, and, sheβs pregnant (after having had a miscarriage pretty recently).
TL:DR? Inspiring woman, great runner, must-follow π

π Events & Races: Rock a Moustache and Run for a Cause π₯Έ
If youβre looking for a race thatβs less about smashing a PB and more about having a fantastic time for a great cause, then you need to check out the MoRunning series.
These events are all about supporting Movember and raising awareness for men's health. But this isn't your typical solemn charity run. Oh no. This is a full-on festival of fun, crazy costumes, and glorious moustaches (real or fake!).
The atmosphere seems electric and incredibly welcoming, making it a perfect event for absolutely everyone. Whether you're a seasoned runner looking for a fun half marathon or a complete beginner tackling your first 5k, you'll fit right in. You can run, jog, or walk your way around the course, and youβre guaranteed to be surrounded by positive vibes.
Plus, the race bling is top-tier. Forget standard medals: you get an epic moustache-shaped medal to hang proudly!
These races take place across the UK and Ireland in cities like London, Cardiff, Edinburgh, and Dublin. So for our UK-based runners, there's a good chance there's an event just a short trip away!
For the rest of us (including myself), this could be the perfect excuse for a November city trip. Imagine exploring a new city and capping it off with a super fun race. You get to travel and earn an epic moustache medal. A true win-win, right? π

π½ Gear & Gadgets: A Top-Tier Race Vest That Doesnβt Break The Bank
Trail running gear can get expensive fast. A good race vest is often one of the priciest items on the list, sometimes setting you back a small fortune.
That's why I've had my eye on Harrier for a while now. They're a UK-based brand that seems to have cracked the code on creating high-quality, well-reviewed gear at a seriously affordable price.
Full disclosure: I don't own one of these yet, but I plan to buy the Kinder 10L sometime soon. Itβs hard to find another pack thatβs 10L and this highly rated, at such a good price point.
Harrier has two main options available, both perfect for their own scenarios. Reviewers for both vests constantly rave about the comfortable, bounce-free fit and the incredible value for money.
For shorter runs and races: The Curbar 5L Race Vest is a fan favorite. People love that itβs lightweight and has a surprisingly spacious design with well-placed pockets, including a secure spot for your phone. Itβs often called the perfect first race vest. A lot of people also mention how they have no problems with chafing using this vest; something that Iβm particularly interested in π
For longer adventures: The Kinder 10L Race Vest is your go-to. Runners praise its huge amount of storage (so many pockets!) and thoughtful features like the easy-to-use pole holders. Itβs built to carry everything you need for an ultra without feeling bulky.
If you're interested in buying one of their race vests, you can get 10% off your order with the code CLAASSEN10.
What brand is your running vest from?

β¨ Wild Card: The Pineapple Marathon Runner
Donβt know how I missed out on this, but shout-out to my friend (Lieke) who shared this runner with me the other day. I donβt know how he does it, but itβs wild card worthy:
If you had to carry any of these items on your head for 1k, what would you choose?

π The Finish Line
And thatβs a wrap on another edition! Youβve crossed the finish line. I hope this weekβs stories left you feeling hyped up for another run (or to sign up for that damn race youβve been eyeing!),
